"Surface defects are detected with the naked eye / optical aids (e.g. magnifying glass, endoscope, mirror, videoscope, camera, etc.)."
Visual inspection VT
The visual inspection is, by its very nature, the first optical or visual check carried out on a test object. Defects on the surface of the test object are detected with the naked eye or with the aid of optical aids (e.g. magnifying glass, endoscope, mirror, videoscope, camera, etc.).
Direct visual inspection
Visual inspection with uninterrupted beam path between the eye of the inspector and the inspection surface. This test is performed without or with auxiliary means.
Indirect visual inspection
Visual inspection with interrupted beam path between the eye of the inspector and the inspection surface. This inspection involves the use of photographic and video technology.
