According to the Austrian Road Safety Board, about 8,200 children have accidents on Austria’s playgrounds every year. The person responsible for these accidents is easily identified: operators are liable for the proper condition of the playground. Therefore, it is important for municipalities, housing associations, fast food chains and the like to have the playgrounds regularly checked for damage and wear.
Many companies outsource monitoring and involve TÜV AUSTRIA. Manufacturers consult TÜV AUSTRIA not only in the course of playground inspections and type tests, but also for safety-related support already during new developments.
