What will you do?

For the launch of our new service within TÜV AUSTRIA Belgium, we are looking for an Inspector for Steam Boilers and Pressure Equipment.

You will be responsible for helping to develop this service and, in the longer term, for managing and steering it.

You will carry out periodic inspections of steam boilers, as well as inspections at commissioning or after repair.
You handle inspection assignments independently and report your findings accurately.
You perform inspections with a focus on identifying corrosion, erosion, and other forms of material degradation.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing periodical inspections of steam boilers in compliance with applicable legislation

• Carrying out inspections at commissioning and after repair or modification

• Independently executing, following up, and completing inspection assignments

• Conducting inspections aimed at detecting corrosion, erosion, and other forms of material degradation

• Clearly and accurately reporting inspection results and observations

• Advising customers on safety, compliance, and improvement measures

• Actively contributing to the development and expansion of the new inspection service

• Safeguarding impartiality, independence, and objectivity in all activities

• Acting as a technical point of contact for customers and colleagues

Who are you?

What do you bring to the table?

• You have experience performing periodic inspections on steam equipment.

• You are familiar with the relevant codes and standards for inspections in the petrochemical industry.

• You have completed a technical education or possess equivalent experience.

• Experience with inspections of gas or hazardous substance containers (VLAREM) and/or inspections within the framework of the PED is a strong asset.

• You are proficient with common IT tools (Office, etc.).

• You speak and write fluent Dutch (mandatory) and English; knowledge of French is a plus.

• You are tactful, diplomatic, and persuasive.

• Reliability, strong communication skills, perseverance, open-mindedness, and independence are key traits that define you.

• You have a strong focus on safety and encourage others to work safely as well.

• You safeguard the impartiality and independence of your work.

Wat ga je doen?

Voor de opstart van onze nieuwe service binnen TÜV AUSTRIA Belgium zoeken we een Inspecteur Stoomtoestellen en Drukapparatuur.

Je bent verantwoordelijk voor deze dienst mee te ontwikkelen en aan te sturen op termijn.

• Je voert periodieke controles uit op stoomtoestellen, evenals keuringen bij indienststelling of na herstelling.

• Je pakt inspectieopdrachten zelfstandig aan en rapporteert de bevindingen

• Je voert inspecties met als doel het vaststellen van corrosie, erosie en andere vormen van materiaaldegradatie.

Kernverantwoordelijkheden

• Uitvoeren van periodieke keuringen van stoomtoestellen conform de geldende wetgeving

• Uitvoeren van keuringen bij indienststelling en na herstelling of wijziging

• Zelfstandig uitvoeren, opvolgen en afronden van inspectieopdrachten

• Inspecteren met focus op het vaststellen van corrosie, erosie en andere vormen van materiaaldegradatie

• Correct en duidelijk rapporteren van inspectieresultaten en vaststellingen

• Adviseren van klanten over veiligheid, naleving en verbetermaatregelen

• Actief meewerken aan de ontwikkeling en uitbouw van de nieuwe inspectiedienst

• Bewaken van onpartijdigheid, onafhankelijkheid en objectiviteit bij alle activiteiten

• Fungeren als technisch aanspreekpunt voor klanten en collega’s

Wie ben jij?

• Je hebt aantoonbare ervaring met het uitvoeren van periodieke controles op stoomtoestellen

• Je bent vertrouwd met relevante codes en normen binnen de petrochemie

• Je beschikt over een technische opleiding of gelijkwaardige praktijkervaring

• Ervaring met:

  • inspecties van gashouders of houders voor gevaarlijke stoffen (VLAREM), en/of

  • inspecties binnen het kader van de Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) is een belangrijk pluspunt

• Je werkt vlot met gangbare IT-tools (Office, rapportagetools, …)

• Je communiceert professioneel in Nederlands en Engels;

• Je bent tactvol, diplomatiek en overtuigend in contact met klanten

• Je werkt zelfstandig, bent betrouwbaar en beschikt over sterke communicatieve vaardigheden

• Veiligheid staat voor jou altijd voorop en je stimuleert ook anderen om veilig te werken

• Je waakt strikt over de onafhankelijkheid en onpartijdigheid van je inspecties
