Bij deze test stellen we de coatings bloot aan een omgeving bij 35°C waarbij continu een zoutoplossing verneveld wordt. Tegenwoordig opteren onderzoekers eerder voor cyclische testen aangezien deze de degradatiemechanismen die stroken met de realiteit triggeren. Testfaciliteiten en ondersteuning TÜV AUSTRIA Belgium beschikt over testcabines voor beide testen. Over (cyclische) zoutneveltesten

Traditioneel testen we coatings door ze te onderwerpen aan een agressieve omgeving zoals bijvoorbeeld de neutrale zoutneveltest (ISO 9227 NSS of ASTM B117). Bij deze test stellen we de coatings bloot aan een omgeving bij 35°C waarbij continu een zoutoplossing verneveld wordt. Tegenwoordig opteren onderzoekers eerder voor cyclische testen aangezien deze de degradatiemechanismen die stroken met de realiteit triggeren.
